Public speaking allows you to improve upon your knowledge
One of the best ways to learn is to teach, and public speaking is exactly than an opportunity to teach.
Opportunities for Creative Writing and taking part in Debates, Recitation and Declamation, to improve rhetorical skills and eloquence in public speaking are provided. More importantly, students are encouraged to exhibit these skills. They are sent to represent the school in co-curricular fixtures hosted by other schools.
The Writing and Public Speaking Center supports undergraduate students, graduate students, alumni, faculty, and staff as they become more versatile, deliberate, and effective communicators. We provide an interdisciplinary, collaborative learning environment for all members of our community to grow as they work on a wide variety of academic, professional, and creative communication tasks.
